Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of rickub, the git hosting service at rickub.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
rickub is a hosted git service operated by ARUKU, a French société à responsabilité limitée (SARL, share capital €5,000) registered in France under SIREN 538 461 476 (RCS Nanterre) (“ARUKU”, “we”, “us”). It lets you host repositories, review changes, run continuous integration, and collaborate in organizations and teams.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use rickub. You are responsible for the activity under your account, for keeping your credentials secret, and for the accuracy of the information you give us. Notify us at security@rickub.com the moment you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
Your use of rickub is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated breaches, with notice where practicable.
4. Your content
You retain all rights in the code, files and other content you push to rickub (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you and the people you share it with. Public repositories are visible to anyone; you are responsible for choosing a repository’s visibility.
5. Plans, billing and taxes
Paid plans apply to organizations and are billed per seat, in euro, in advance for each billing period, through our payments provider (see Subprocessors). Fees are exclusive of VAT, which we add where required. Personal accounts are free. You can cancel at any time; access to paid features ends at the close of the paid period. See the pricing page to see current plans.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep rickub available and reliable but provide it “as is” without a contractual uptime guarantee unless separately agreed in writing. We may add, change or remove features. We will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes to paid features.
7. Suspension and termination
You may stop using rickub and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, that create risk or legal exposure for us or other users, or where required by law. On termination we will make Your Content available for export for a reasonable period unless prohibited by law.
8. Intellectual property
rickub, its logos and the service software are owned by ARUKU and its licensors. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks.
9. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data to the extent you could have prevented it by keeping your own copies (git is distributed — keep a clone).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. The courts of France have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.
