# Install Docker Agent

We are going to install the local version of Docker Agent (not the Docker Agent plugin version for Docker Desktop).

You will find here the page describing the possible installations for your operating systems: [https://docker.github.io/docker-agent/getting-started/installation/](https://docker.github.io/docker-agent/getting-started/installation/)

## On Windows

- Go to: https://github.com/docker/docker-agent/releases and download the appropriate version of Docker Agent
- Rename it to docker-agent
- Add it to the PATH (ex: C:\Users\Philippe\docker-agent\)

You probably need to restart VSCode (on Windows, don’t ask why)
